Police announced yesterday they caught three men wanted in connection with two murders after re-issuing a most wanted list on Wednesday.
The men nabbed were Elandro Missick, 20, of Kingston Street, and brothers Deangelo, 25, and Desmond Wilson of Lifebouy Street.
Superintendent Stephen Dean said that as a result of good intelligence work, police were able to capture these men, who they hope to put before the courts early next week.
The male suspects had been named as three of the six most wanted men in the country.
According to police, Missick was arrested at East Street, Matthew Town, Inagua, on Wednesday night.
Police want to question Missick in connection with the October 23 murder of Bradley Whittaker.
It was understood that Whittaker was walking on Cordeaux Avenue, in the area of Amos Ferguson Street, around 7 p.m. when he was approached by occupants of a black Honda Accord.
As per the police's report, one of the males shot Whittaker several times about the body. He was taken to hospital in a private vehicle where he later died.
Police also reported that around 11 a.m. yesterday, officers on Grand Bahama arrested Deangelo Wilson. Deangelo's brother, Desmond Wilson, is also in custody.  According to police, he was caught in New Providence.
Police want to question the Wilsons in reference to the September 17 murder of Damian Bowe.
Bowe was murdered around 3:43 a.m. in the area of the Corner Pocket Bar, Kemp Road, police said.
Police attribute the quick arrests to collaborative efforts involving the police, the media and the general public.
Police were still looking for Ormand Leon for questioning in relation to the July 10 murder of Francisco Hanna; Garrison Pyfrom Jr. for questioning in relation to the August 12 murder of Courtney McKenzie and Andre 'Mugs' Wallace for questioning in relation to the September 22 murder of Leontes Louis.
Anyone with information regarding these men is asked to contact police at 911, 919, 322-3333, the Central Detective Unit (CDU) at 502-9991, 502-9910 or Crime Stoppers at 328-TIPS.
So far for 2011, 110 murders have been recorded.  At last reports, the detection rate for murder was just above 50 percent.
