WHILE the St Bede's Crushers snapped a three-game losing streak, Our Lady's Blue Flames suffered their second straight heartbreaking loss in the Catholic Diocesan Primary Schools basketball regular season.

In the feature game at Loyola Hall Wednesday that was the first showdown between last year's two championship teams, the defending champions St Cecilia's Strikers held off the runners-up Blue Flames 29-28.

And in the earlier contest that was played between the two teams, St Bede's avoided their fourth straight loss with a 27-23 decision to keep the St Thomas More Sparks winless.
