Director General of Tourism Latia Duncombe outlined the Ministry of Tourism, Investments and Aviation strategy, vision and mission at the recently held 35th  Annual Bahamas Business Outlook. 

Prime Minister and Minister of Finance the Hon Philip Davis delivered the Keynote Address under the theme: 'Strengthening the Foundations of a Bahamian Century.'  During her presentation, the Tourism DG shared the strategy, overview, vision, and mission of the Tourism Industry, the country’s main economic engine.  “Our strategic focus remains, technology, sustainability, sales growth and development,” she said.  In this vein, she reiterated the mantra that "Tourism is everyone’s business”; and that “Tourism supports livelihoods, underpins confidence, and plays a stabilizing role in our economy.”  The annual forum, which attracts stakeholders in business, finance and related arenas, was held January 15, 2026 at Baha Mar Convention Centre.  The event is facilitated by The Counsellors Ltd.
