Shining their light for the community, Limitless 26 kicked off their fundraising season with the Morning Miles Fun Run/Walk, inspiring students, families, and neighbors to celebrate joy, unity, and community spirit.

The early morning glow of Saturday, October 25, 2025, was no match for the radiance of joy and purpose that filled Nassau Christian Schools’ campus. The Graduating Class of 2026, proudly known as Limitless 26, launched their fundraising season with the inaugural Morning Miles Fun Run/Walk, an inspiring event that united the community under the theme drawn from Matthew 5:16: “Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works and glorify your Father which is in heaven.”

From preschoolers to professional athletes, participants gathered before sunrise, ready to “shine their light” both on and off the course. Laughter, cheers and encouragement echoed through the route as runners and walkers of all ages moved side by side, embodying the spirit of faith, unity along with community support.

What made Morning Miles truly special was not just the miles covered, but the connections formed along the way. Runners helped each other stay together when someone fell behind, and those not running cheered on friends with loud sounds of Junkanoo, applause and supportive shouts. Some were so uplifted by the energy that they ran the route a second time, proving that even small gestures of kindness can leave a big impact.

One fifth-grade student, Dawson Gray, stood out for his energy, leadership and inspiration. Even before the race began, he was calling friends and classmates, urging them to join in the fun. His excitement was contagious, a perfect example of how a single spark of enthusiasm can inspire others to shine their light and lift everyone around them.

Coach Ainsworth Beckford said, “Seeing everyone come together from our youngest runners to families and even teachers was incredible. The energy and smiles along the route reminded me why I love this community.” Throughout the event, he cheered on participants, offered guidance, and joined in the fun, showing a true sense of community.

The event also highlighted remarkable athletic performances. In the run category, Track Club members Donald Pinder (1st Place) and Kyro Brown (2nd Place) claimed the top overall spots, demonstrating determination and sportsmanship.

In the high school division, Sanchez Rolle raced to victory, proudly representing both Limitless 26 and his team, The Commanders. As he crossed the finish line, he shared, “I’ve been doing this all my life. Everything is possible through God. I just thank Him for no injuries and remember, nobody can beat me!”

Fellow senior Simorne Roberts added with a laugh, “The route was long and I was happy it was done, but I was glad to help support my class and let my light shine, ya know?”

Principal Mrs. Lisa Miller praised the students and community for bringing the school’s spiritual theme to life. “This event perfectly captured the essence of ‘Let Your Light So Shine,’” she said. “It was wonderful to see students, families and staff come together with such joy and unity, a true reflection of God’s light in our community.”

The fundraiser was both a financial and spiritual success, with proceeds supporting graduation activities and future senior events. Yet beyond the funds raised, Morning Miles left a lasting impression of faith in action, a morning where love, encouragement and purpose were shared step by step.

As the sun climbed higher, its rays mirrored the purpose of the event. Reminding all that when God’s people come together, their light shines brighter. Principal Miller concluded, “Our goal at NCS is to keep this community spirit alive. Through events, study, or celebrations, we encourage students to show compassion, creativity, and positivity to let the light of Christ shine in all they do.”

Nassau Christian Schools extended heartfelt thanks to the many volunteers, parents, and community partners whose kindness made the event possible.

By the end of the morning, miles were logged, spirits lifted, and hearts full. And as one young participant joyfully shared, “When we run together, it feels like we’re shining for Jesus!”

As the final runners crossed the finish line and the beat of the drums echoed through the air, it was clear that Limitless 26 had achieved their mission to shine bright, lead with love and make a lasting impact. And to top it all off, The Controllers emerged victorious, taking home the team title and reminding everyone that at Nassau Christian Schools, teamwork and faith always finish first.
