Colina Insurance Limited continued its longstanding support of Hands for Hunger as a Gourmand Sponsor of Paradise Plates 2025. Culinary talent and community partners unite in support of the fight against hunger and food insecurity in The Bahamas at the signature fundraising event.
Colina hosted a booth at the event where guests enjoyed a refreshing lineup of handcrafted fresh fruit mocktails. The beverages were prepared by award winning mixologist Marv Cunningham, also known as Mr. Mix Bahamas, and included a Dragon Fruit Mule, White Peach Tangerine Breeze, and Coconut Blackberry Switcha.
In addition to the company sponsorship, team members from across Colina attended in a show of solidarity and support.
“Colina is proud to stand with Hands for Hunger in the fight against hunger in The Bahamas,” said Maxine Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina. “This event not only raises critical funds for a worthy cause but also celebrates the spirit of community and giveback.”
“We are grateful to our colleagues who attended and to everyone who supported this meaningful evening despite the heavy rain and impending storm,” said Seymour. “Their dedication and enthusiasm in the face of such challenging weather truly underscored the importance of this cause and the strength of our community.”
Proceeds from Paradise Plates 2025 will directly benefit Hands for Hunger’s food rescue and distribution programs, which continue to play a critical role in addressing food insecurity across the nation.
The event was held on Saturday, September 27 in the Imperial Ballroom at the Atlantis Paradise Island Bahamas.
