Bahamasair Expands Florida Service Starting June 23

Travelers can look forward to increased connectivity between The Bahamas and Florida as Bahamasair expands its flight schedule effective Monday, June 23.

As announced by Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Tourism, Investments and Aviation, the Hon. Chester Cooper, Bahamasair will introduce twice-weekly flights between Fort Lauderdale and George Town, Exuma. The service will operate every Monday and Thursday in an aim to make travel more convenient for both residents and visitors.

Also debuting on June 23 is the much-anticipated Freeport to Orlando route. This service, which will also operate every Monday and Thursday, offers a direct link between Grand Bahama and Central Florida just in time for the summer travel season.

These strategic additions underscore Bahamasair’s commitment to strengthening regional airlift and filling the gap left by Silver Airways’ reduced operations. The national flag carrier is actively exploring further opportunities to increase frequency and expand service throughout Florida.

Travelers are encouraged to make bookings by visiting any of Bahamasair’s city ticket offices in New Providence or Grand Bahama, a local travel agency, or contacting us via phone at (242) 702-4140 or emailing at reservations@bahamasair.com for personalized support.
