K’s Heart Easter Giveaway

“This country will not be a good place for any of us to live in unless we make it a good place for all of us to live in.” Theodore Roosevelt

On Holy Saturday, K’s Heart for Kids was able to make a positive contribution in the lives of many children and their families throughout the community by showing the love and blessings of Jesus Christ to those in need.

Sweet treats, food, clothes, shoes, baby items and groceries were distributed to hundreds of persons in hopes of bringing a little cheer and lightening the load during the Easter weekend.

Leading up to the event, boxes of candies were distributed to children’s homes throughout the country.

“There is a great economic need within our country. We are contacted on a weekly basis by moms seeking assistance. If you are able to help a family in need, help them. You may know a mother struggling to find food, clothes, shelter or even a babysitter, lend help and support to her. It is incumbent upon each of us to do our part in making the Bahamas a better, peaceful country for our future generation. We are the village!” says Founder and President, Kashannise Hanna

For those interested in assisting the nonprofit organization, K’s Heart has several upcoming events and initiatives that they welcome sponsorship and donations for. They can be found on Facebook, Instagram and LinkedIn.

A huge thank you to everyone who offered their prayers, time and treasures to make the day a success! Especially the volunteers and sponsors such as St. Agnes Church, Blue Chip Enterprise, Bahama Islands Party Rental, Jumping Guppies Party Rental, The Butterfly Treasure Box, Caribbean Bottling Company, D’albenas Agency, Milo Butler & Sons and Kelly’s Home Center.
