The men accused of holding up a local web shop last week were yesterday arraigned in a magistrate's court on several counts of armed robbery.
Alrick Wimms, 27, of Milton Street; Tomeko Bannister, of Hamster Street, Cable Beach, and Shakatorie Thompson, 31, of Yellow Elder, appeared before Chief Magistrate Roger Gomez in court one.
The men were recently released from hospital after their alleged involvement in a shoot-out with police shortly after Island Luck was robbed on September 1.
It is alleged that they robbed Shantell Dorsett of cash, which is the property of Island Luck; Delores Rolle of a handbag and $20; Janece Ferguson of $400; Lakeisha Adderley of $400 and a cell phone; Wellington Ford of a cell phone and $800; Anthony Roker of $400 and Tiffany Turnquest of an undisclosed amount of money, a handbag and a Bahamian passport.
The robberies took place at Island Luck's Miller's Height location. The men were also charged with three counts of possession of a firearm with intent to endanger life.
It is alleged that they attempted to endanger the lives of Inspector F. Saunders, Sergeant Demeritte, and District Constable Davis.
Wimms was further charged with a count of receiving a Nokia Cell phone and $800.
A fourth suspect is expected to be charged in relation to the matter pending his release from hospital.
According to police, the web shop was held up around 9:50 p.m.  When police responded, the culprits allegedly opened fire on them.  Officers returned fire and wounded the men, police said.
During the arraignment, Thompson, who had a cast on his left leg and bandages on his hands, claimed that police dragged him out of hospital before his injuries were fully healed.
He said he received three gunshot wounds prior to his arrest and requested to see a doctor.  Gomez ordered that he be taken to the hospital immediately.
The men were denied bail and the case was adjourned until November 30.
