Colina Joins Crisis Centre on 40th Anniversary Celebration

Colina Insurance Limited is a Silver Sponsor of the RedCarpet Volunteers Reception to be held as part of The Bahamas Crisis Centre’s 40 th Anniversary celebration.

“Colina is committed to the health and wellness of the citizens and residents of this country,” saidMaxine Seymour, Director, Corporate Communications, Colina. “We partner with The Bahamas Crisis onan ongoing basis because families are important and we appreciate the work they do to mitigatedomestic challenges.”

“The Bahamas Crisis Centre is conducted through the hard work and dedication of volunteers and hasbeen engaging in this work for the past 40 years under the directorship of Sandra Dean-Patterson,” saidCleopatra Christie, Administrator, the Crisis Centre. “We assist, educate and counsel women andchildren who experience domestic violence and sexual abuse.”

The upcoming event will recognize Crisis Centre volunteers for their dedicated service over the years.Five volunteers who manage the Crisis Centre’s 24-hour hotline will be honoured, with emphasis on avolunteer who managed the crisis hotline for an extended period, during the COVID-19 pandemic.“Colina has a long standing partnership with The Bahamas Crisis Centre and are proud to support thisevent as a silver sponsor,” said Seymour. “In the past, we have stocked the pantry for the holidays andcontributed on International Women’s Day, among other partnership projects”.

The Red Carpet Volunteer Reception is scheduled for Friday, November 18 at Balmoral Club. Proceedsfrom the event will assist the Crisis Centre with ongoing operations.
