BNT's Wine and Art Returns for 30th Anniversary After Two-Year Hiatus

The Bahamas National Trust (BNT) is excited to announce its 30th Wine and Art Festival onOctober 29 and 30 at the beautiful Retreat Garden National Park. Wine and Art is the premierart and culture festival in The Bahamas, combining a culinary, artistic, and cultural experiencewith the opportunity to support the environment. After a two-year hiatus, it’s back and betterthan ever.

This year’s event will bring the same iconic food and beverage experience that attendeeshave grown to love while introducing a few new experiences. Returning sponsorsCommonwealth Brewery and 700 Wines and Spirits have partnered with the BNT toshowcase an incredible array of wines and spirits. Attendees at Wine and Art 2022 will beable to sip over 60+ wines from different parts of the world, enjoy luxury champagne brandsin The VIP Champagne Lounge, and enjoy food and culinary delights from local foodvendors as well as Ministry of Tourism-sponsored celebrity chefs. All while viewing andpurchasing incredible arts and crafts from over 35 local artists and vendors, enjoying livemusic and entertainment, and taking in the beautiful atmosphere that is The Retreat Garden.

To top it all off, attendees can have a hands-on educational experience with several freeclasses that will be offered during the two-day event.

Wine and Art functions as one of the BNT’s annual fundraisers and the kickoff to theorganisation’s much-anticipated fall events. All proceeds from the event support themanagement of Bahamian national parks and conservation in The Bahamas. Over the years,thousands of visitors have come to look forward to this one-of-a-kind festival and have madeattendance a tradition. This year’s festival will feature an exclusive Champagne Lounge and aHeineken Beer Garden After Party. The brand-new champagne lounge will be offering high-class champagne brands like Moet and Chandon, Veuve Cliquot, and Armand de BrignacAce of Spades; along with exclusive entertainment. Kimberly Knowles, BNT Development Officer and Event Coordinator, said the response tothe return of the festival so far has been “nothing but excitement” from both the public andstaff.

“It feels amazing to be back in action after this two-year hiatus. In the past Wine and Art wassomething so many people looked forward to, and people have been asking when’s itcoming back. We’re thrilled to let them know, it’s coming back now. This is also the first Wineand Art for a lot of our new team members who were onboarded during the pandemic, andyou can feel the energy and excitement among everyone. We know people are going tolove it and we can’t wait.”
