Fernander, Sales & Marketing Manager, Sun Oil Limited. “This summer, we are proud to continue our investment in our country’s youth by sponsoring a number of summer programmes and camps providing wholesome activities and educational opportunities for children.”

“Two of the summer programmes that we are proud partners with are 2022 BETA Camp and Innovative Science Summer Camp, both focused on providing valuable exposure to young people in the areas of science and technology. As technology continues to develop and shape the world we live in, we recognize this as an essential educational pillar and area of focus for youth investment.”

D’André Wilson-Ihejirika, Co-Founder & Vice President, BETA explained, “This year’s BETA Camp is themed ‘Bahamas 2050: Engineering the Future.’ We will be asking students to leverage engineering and technology to envision what they feel The Bahamas should look like in 2050. The BETA team seeks to create a future where Bahamians are technically equipped to compete in a global market.”

Wilson-Ihejirika added, “After 2 years of virtual camps, we are looking forward to a hybrid camp this year, which will take place both virtual and in person in Nassau. The camp take place July 18-30, 2022 and students who have completed either grades 7, 8 or 9 are invited to participate.”

“Innovative Science is a Bahamas-based science educational organization,” said, Sheena Davis, President of Innovative Science. “Our mission is to make learning science fun for primary school age children. We thank Sun Oil for its investment and the opportunity to increase science awareness in our community.” The 2022 Innovative Science Summer Camp was hosted at the Xavier's Lower School campus, West Bay Street.

 Fernander continued, “We care about our community and recognize the importance of supporting in the development of our future leaders. We applaud our charitable and non-profit partners who continue to provide invaluable services and programmes to our youth and pledge our continued support through donations and corporate sponsorships.”
