Volunteerism comes with kindness – Rotary Club of East Nassau’s Mike Russell answered the call of the Governor General’s Volunteer Bahamas. On Saturday, he presented hygiene supplies for seniors to Chief Supt. Earl Thompson, forefront, and officers of the Fox Hill station who will distribute the packages of goods to elderly in the community. November has been declared volunteerism month with individuals and organizations asked to post or participate in a project of their choice from helping a neighbour to cleaning a park or beach, planting trees or painting a building. Rotary’s packages aided about 50 elderly citizens.
