NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM WANDA ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 12 PM TUESDAY 02ND NOVEMBER 2021.

...WANDA MOVING NORTHWARD OVER THE NORTHERN ATLANTIC...

 AT 11 AM EDT, THE CENTER OF WANDA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 35.6°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 40.6° WEST OR ABOUT 770 MILES WEST OF THE AZORES.

WANDA IS MOVING TOWARD THE NORTH NEAR 8 MPH. THIS GENERAL MOTION SHOULD CONTINUE THIS MORNING, TURNING NORTH-NORTHEAST THIS AFTERNOON OR EVENING, WITH A NORTHEAST MOTION THROUGH WEDNESDAY.

Maximum sustained winds ARE NEAR 50 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 HOURS.

THIS SYSTEM CONTINUES TO POSE NO THREAT TO THE BAHAMAS.
