Tropical Storm Wanda Gets a Little Stronger

NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM WANDA ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION, AT 6 AM TUESDAY 02ND NOVEMBER 2021.

...WANDA A LITTLE STRONGER...

 AT 5 AM EDT, THE CENTER OF WANDA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 35.0°NORTH AND LONGITUDE 40.9° WEST OR ABOUT 800 MILES WEST OF THE AZORES.

WANDA IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR 8 MPH. A turn toward the northeast and north-northeast is expected today, followed by a generally northward motion at a slightly faster forward speed through Wednesday.

Maximum sustained winds HAVE INCREASED TO NEAR 50 mph with higher gusts. Little change in strength is forecast during the next 48 HOURS.

THIS SYSTEM CONTINUES TO POSE NO THREAT TO THE BAHAMAS.
