 …WANDA TRANSITIONS TO A TROPICAL CYCLONE OVER THE NORTH-CENTRAL ATLANTIC OCEAN…
 
AT 5PM EDT, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM WANDA WAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 34.2 °NORTH AND LONGITUDE 42.2° WEST OR ABOUT 885 MILES WEST-SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES. 
WANDA IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR 7 MPH AND THIS GENERAL MOTION SHOULD CONTINUE THROUGH EARLY THIS EVENING. 
MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 45 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. SOME SLIGHT STRENGTHENING WILL BE POSSIBLE DURING THE NEXT COUPLE OF DAYS. 
THIS SYSTEM POSES NO THREAT TO THE BAHAMAS.
