The Office of the Governor-General wishes to advise that His Excellencies, The Most Honourable Sir Cornelius A. Smith, ON, GCMG has accepted a speaking engagement at the Florida Agricultural and Mechanical University and will be absent from the country from Thursday 28th - 31st October, 2021.

Pursuant to Section 34 (1) (a) of the Constitution, the Prime Minister has approved Mrs. Cynthia Pratt, former Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of National Security to serve as Deputy to the Governor-General during his absence.
