A stationary front across the Central Bahamas is expected to linger through Friday, while it supports shower activity mainly in its vicinity. High pressure will continue to build on the north-side of the front and produce moderate to fresh breezes through late week. However, remnants of the old frontal boundary, along with rich tropical moisture flowing across the islands, will enhance widespread shower and thunderstorm activity through early next week.

TUESDAY 19TH – Variably cloudy, very warm and breezy with isolated showers and a few possible thunderstorms mainly in vicinity of the frontal boundary. Small craft operators in the Northwest and Central Bahamas should exercise caution. Expect gusty winds and higher seas in or near heavy showers or thunderstorms. Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas; Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 4 to 6 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas; 2 to 4 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.
