SEVEN DAY FORECAST 7-13 SEP 2021

Tue, Sep 7th 2021, 09:30 AM

Unsettled weather, favoured by deep troughing and a rich moisture environment, will continue sporadically across the islands. This trough will gradually lift northwards. Meanwhile, a weak high pressure ridge will maintain light to gentle breezes over the Bahamas. Convection will linger on a daily basis with showers becoming heavy and thunderstorms severe at times. There is also the potential for localized flooding in low-lying and flood-prone areas. Daytime High Temperatures will remain in the low 90’s with heat indices soaring into the triple digits. In the Tropics, Hurricane Larry will generate hazardous ocean swells mainly along Atlantic exposed beaches from Tuesday afternoon through Friday evening. Mariners and Beachgoers should exercise extreme caution as moderate ocean swells up to 8 feet will cause dangerous surf and rip currents.
