Man denies drug and gun charges

A MAN who denied growing marijuana plants and being in possession of an unlicensed firearm was yesterday granted bail ahead of his trial.

Gregory Tynes was arrested after he was accused of having a 9mm pistol and seven live rounds of 9mm ammunition on July 23.
#He was further accused of being in possession of 2.58 ounces of Indian hemp with the intent to supply and cultivating four marijuana plants, which all ranged between 2 to 4 feet in height on the day in question.
#During his hearing before Magistrate Samuel McKinney, Tynes denied the allegations.
#As a result, his case was adjourned to September 2 for trial.
#In the meantime, Tynes, who is represented by lawyer Roberto Reckley, was granted $5,000 bail.
