It was a celebration of Bahamian culture and independence, as guests of The Cove at Atlantis relaxed, dined, shopped and luxuriated in “Sizzle” style on July 10th.

The 600-all-suite luxury resort was transformed into the ultimate tropical Sizzle oasis with the support of partners Webb Banks, premium wine and spirits distributor and partner brands Bumbu Rum and Luc Belaire. A menu of specialty cocktails, champagne mojitos, a bespoke cigar bar that featured hand-rolled, rum-infused cigars from Graycliff, local-inspired and Bahamian made ice cream from Sun & Ice and a retail garden with pop up trunk shows by La Plage and Blue Moon, Colombian Emeralds International, Carlo Milano sunglasses and the Plait Lady’s handmade straw bags rounded out a day of libations and shopping.

Live entertainment and canvas art by local talent Stefan The Legend created a unique piece sold at a silent auction. Guests of The Cove pool deck were also entertained by musician Lamont Gibson, DJ A.I. and an afternoon Junkanoo rush-out.

About Sizzle, Phillip Jarrell, chief operating officer of Webb Banks, said, “Webb Banks and our partner brands Bumbu and Luc Belaire were so excited to have the opportunity to celebrate the 48th birthday of The Bahamas’ independence. We’ve proudly teamed up with Atlantis and The Cove for more than a decade and I can truly say that Sizzle was the biggest and best brand event we’ve executed. The staff was beautiful, the crowd was rocking, the cocktails were delicious. We cannot wait until the next event to bring our world-class beverage portfolio to the staff and patrons of The Atlantis.”

Kapil Sharma, general manager of The Cove, dubbed the Sizzle “a smashing success”. Sharma continued, “Sizzle was certainly a reflection of Bahamian culture and our guests were able to witness firsthand what The Bahamas has to offer – the very best in entertainment, food and talent. We are excited and looking forward to hosting the next event at the end of August.”

Sizzle comes on the heels of Spritz, a Memorial Day weekend event that was held in partnership with Perrier-Jouët champagne.

The Cove Summer series caps off in August with an epic weekend celebration in partnership with Absolut Elyx. The three-day event is set to be nothing short of a luxurious crescendo and will serve as the perfect adieu to summer at The Cove.
