Private sector 'willing'on wage subsidy plan

SEVERAL private sector businesses have expressed a willingness to embrace the Government's subsidised work-placement initiative, the Bahamas Chamber of Commerce and Employers Confederation's (BCCEC) chairman, Winston Rolle, said yesterday.

Mr Rolle said that while there were some in the private sector who had expressed a willingness to embrace the program, it was still too early to tell how many will come on board.

"I have had an opportunity to meet with a number of persons who have expressed a willingness to embrace the program once they have learned more about it, and who they are going to be employing," Mr Rolle told Tribune Business ...
