With summer camps non-existent in 2020 due to COVID-19, with the world returning to some sense of normalcy as people adjust to living in a pandemic era, summer camps have returned, and The Nassau Guardian has found a few camps filled with excitement, discovery and adventure for children to explore through hands-on projects and daily activities.

With each child unique, parents are certain to find a summer camp beneficial for their child/children which will allow them to engage, and develop socially, emotionally and cognitive skills. Participation in summer camps also allow children to create memories that last a lifetime.

Baha Mar Explorers

Playcation Summer Camp

At Baha Mar, they say summer is about to be spectacular with their ultimate luxury summer camp – Playcation – an exclusive, interactive, edutainment experience centered around creating lasting memories, cultivating unique skills, and challenging kids through activities and workshops that explore everything from Bahamian culture and marine science to recreational sports and mouthwatering culinary creations.

Playcation, which is geared towards children ages five through 12 years old runs July 19-23 between 9 a.m. and 1 p.m. daily.

The five days of spectacular experiences include junior marine scientist, junior golf professional junior master chef, junior tennis professional and Bahamian art and culture.

Day one features the junior marine scientist with highlights featuring environmental exploration, “fla-mingle’ flamingo meet and greet, aviary adventures, scent-senational underwater candle, and conservation “fun-versation with The Baha Mar Resort Foundation.

Day two features the junior tennis professional with baseline basics with The Racquet Club Team, grand slam court games, and racquet madness canvas art.
