A cold front will quickly move through and exit the islands today as high pressure builds across the area resulting in partly sunny, mostly dry and breezy conditions through most of the week. The high will shift eastwards further into the Atlantic winds allowing for a southeasterly flow with temperatures expected to warm up near the weekend. Another frontal boundary will approach the Bahamas on the weekend and stall across the Northwest Bahamas on Sunday allowing rain chances to increase by then.

MONDAY 26th – Variably cloudy and hot with scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms mainly along the front…Warm and breezy at night with a few stray showers possible. Small craft operators should exercise caution in the Northwest and Central Bahamas. Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and gusty in showers and thunderstorms and Northeasterly at 10 to 15 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 4 to 6 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and higher in gusts and 2 to 4 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

TUESDAY 27th – Partly sunny, breezy and warm with a stray shower or two possible during the day…Warm and breezy at night. Small craft operators should exercise caution.Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots and gusty at times. Seas: 4 to 6 feet over the ocean and higher in gusts.

WEDNESDAY 28th – Partly sunny, warm and breezy during the day…Breezy and mild at night. Small craft operators should exercise caution. Winds: Easterly at 15 to 20 knots and gusty at times. Seas: 4 to 6 feet over the ocean and higher in gusts.

THURSDAY 29th – Partly sunny, warm and breezy with the slight chance of a few passing showers during the day…Mainly fair with a stray shower or two possible at night. Small craft operators should exercise caution.Winds: East to Southeast at 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 4 to 6 feet over the ocean.

FRIDAY 30th – Partly sunny and warm with an isolated shower or two possible during the day…Mild at night with a quick passing shower or two possible. Small craft operators in the Southeast Bahamas should exercise caution. Winds: Southeast to South at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and East to Southeast at 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

SATURDAY 1st – Partly sunny and warm with a few isolated showers possible during the day...Variably cloudy at night with a passing shower or two possible. Winds: South to Southwest at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.

SUNDAY 2nd – Partly cloudy with a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms possible across the Northwest Bahamas to partly sunny and warm across the Central and Southeast Bahamas with an isolated shower or two possible…Partly cloudy with few showers at night. Winds: South to Southwesterly at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and Southeasterly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.
