NTA’s 18 Assessors and Four Staff Successfully Complete Skill Courses

The National Training Agency (NTA) recognized several trainees, training providers and assessors for successfully completing certificate courses. The event was held March 30, 2021 at NTA on Gladstone Road and Munnings Drive. The NTA, offers certificate programmes to young Bahamians throughout the country.

During the ceremony, 18 staff members, training providers and assessors who successfully completed City & Guilds certification as internal verifiers and assessors, were awarded certificates. The training was conducted by Trinizuela Technical and Vocational College located in Trinidad & Tobago), a City & Guilds approved centre. Serving as Mistress of Ceremonies was Senator, the Hon. Jennifer Isaacs-Dotson.

Executive Director, NTA, Gadville McDonald, congratulated the awardees and said that their training would ‘add value’ to the organization.

“We pause to celebrate 18 of you assessors who have completed the training for this certificate and the four persons who completed training in Leadership and Teams skills, Level II, through the Institute of Leadership & Management (ILM) Approved Centre,” he said. “Your certificate will add value to our organization, especially as we continue in our mission to assist in the development of our country’s work force.”

Delivering the keynote address virtually was Executive Director of Trinizuela Technical & Vocational College, Ms. Linda Mohammed, who congratulated the awardees and told them that the programme will enable them to utilize the special skills they acquired to further assist students.

“This programme, which you have just completed, will give you the ability to discern and the ability to judge,” she said. “This will come with practice and improve with experience. Your discernment can determine the student’s ability to just pass or get a distinction in a programme. So you hold the key for assisting your students to achieve success.”
