A low pressure center that developed along a cold front draped across the Northwest Bahamas will gradually move in a northerly direction. The frontal boundary will spark isolated showers and a few thunderstorms mainly over the Northwest and Central Bahamas before dissipating on Tuesday. Gentle to moderate East to Southeasterly winds will prevail over the islands through Wednesday. However, due to some moderate Northeasterly swells a Small Craft Caution will be in effect for all areas until Tuesday. Very warm daytime temperatures are expected throughout the week. A surge in the winds on Wednesday night will prompt another Small Craft Caution to come into effect for the Southeast Bahamas through the weekend for the Central from Friday until Sunday.

WEDNESDAY 24th – Partly sunny and warm with a few lingering showers mainly in the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Fair and mild at night but a bit breezy in the Southeast Bahamas. A Small Craft Caution will come into effect for the Southeast Bahamas at night. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots during the day for all areas but falling Light and Variable at night in the Northwest Bahamas; winds will become Easterly at 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas at night. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean for all areas during the day but increasing 4 to 6 feet at night in the Southeast Bahamas.

THURSDAY 25th – Mostly sunny and warm with the slight chance of a stray shower; breezy in the Southeast Bahamas. Fair and mild at night. A Small Craft Caution will be in effect for the Southeast Bahamas. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas; Easterly at 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

FRIDAY 26th – Sunny and warm with the slight chance of a stray shower; breezy in the Southeast Bahamas. Fair and mild at night. A Small Craft Caution will be in effect for the Southeast Bahamas and will come into effect for the Central Bahamas at night. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest and Central Bahamas during the day, increasing 15 to 20 knots in the Central Bahamas at night; Easterly at 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest and Central Bahamas during the day, building 4 to 6 feet in the Central Bahamas at night; 4 to 6 feet over the ocean in the Southeast Bahamas.

SATURDAY 27th – Mostly Sunny and warm; breezy in the Central and Southeast Bahamas with the slight chance of a passing shower. Fair and mild at night. A Small Craft Caution will be in effect for the Central and Southeast Bahamas. Winds: East to Southeast 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and Easterly at 15 to 20 knots the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the Central and Southeast Bahamas.
