High pressure prevailing across the area will support moderate to fresh and occasionally strong winds through midweek.  A cold front will move in the vicinity of the Extreme Northwest Bahamas on Tuesday and increase shower chances before it lifts northwards and away from the area. The winds are expected to increase on Thursday as the pressure gradient strengthens over the islands due to another cold front that will move across the area.  Hazardous boating condition are expected behind the frontal passage on Friday.

SUNDAY 14th – Weather: Mostly sunny, warm and breezy across the islands with the chance of a stray passing shower or two.  Mainly fair and a bit breezy tonight.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Southeast Bahamas.  Winds: Southeast to South at 15 to 20 knots, gusty at times, in the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& East to Southeast at 15 to 25 knots over open waters in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 4 to 7 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& 5 to 8 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

MONDAY 15th – Partly sunny, warm and breezy with the chance of a stray shower or two.  Mainly fair tonight.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for Central & Southeast Bahamas.   Winds:Southeast to South at 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas...& East to Southeast at 15 to 20 knots over open waters in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 3 to 5 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas...& 4 to 7 feet in the Central & Southeast Bahamas.

TUESDAY 16th – Variably cloudy, warm and breezy with possible isolated showers and a few thunderstorms mainly in the Extreme Northwest Bahamas.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for all areas.   Winds: Southeast to South at 15 to 20 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas, decreasing 10 to 15 knots tonight in the Northwest Bahamas...& East to Southeast at 15 to 20 knots over open waters in the Southeast Bahamas. Seas:4 to 7 feet over the ocean for all areas but falling 2 to 4 feet in the Northwest Bahamas tonight.

WEDNESDAY 17th – Partly sunny, warm and breezy with the chance of a few passing showers. Fair and breezy.  A Small Craft Caution is in effect for the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Southeast Bahamas.  Winds:Southeast to South at 15 to 20 knots in the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& East to Southeast at 15 to 25 knots in the Southeast Bahamas.  Seas: 4 to 7 feet over the ocean in the Northwest & Central Bahamas...& 5 to 8 feet in the Southeast Bahamas.

THURSDAY 18th – Partly Cloudy, warm and windy with the chance of isolated showers today. Mainly fair and breezy tonight with a few possible passing showers.  Small Craft Advisory is in effect for all areas.  Winds: Southeast to South at 15 to 25 knots in the Northwest Bahamas......& East to Southeast at 15 to 25 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas:5 to 8 feet over the ocean for all areas.

FRIDAY 19th – Variably cloudy, warm and breezy with scattered showers and a few possible thunderstorms mainly along the frontal boundary. A Small Craft Caution is in effect for all areas today but Small Craft Operators in the Northwest Bahamas should remain in port this afternoon as hazardous marine conditions are expected behind the frontal boundary.  Winds:Southeast to South at 15 to 20 knots ahead of the front in the Northwest Bahamas, shifting Northwest to North at 20 to 25 knots later this afternoon behind the front...& East to Southeast at 15 to 20 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas today, becoming Easterly at 10 to 15 knots tonight.  Seas: 4 to 7 feet over the ocean ahead of the front in the Northwest Bahamas, increasing 7 to 10 feet behind the front later this afternoon...& 4 to 6 feet today in the Central & Southeast Bahamas, falling 2 to 4 feet tonight.

SATURDAY 20th – Variably cloudy, cool and windy through tonight in the Northwest Bahamas...& Variably cloudy, mild and breezy in the Central & Southeast Bahamas with isolated showers and a few possible thunderstorms. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect for the Northwest Bahamas today and will come into effect for the Central Bahamas tonight...Small Craft Caution will come into effect for the Southeast Bahamas tonight.   Winds:North to Northeast at 15 to 25 knots in the Northwest Bahamas...& Northeast to East at 10 to 15 knots today in the Central & Southeast Bahamas but increasing 15 to 25 knots tonight in the Central Bahamas...& increasing 15 to 20 knots in the Southeast Bahamas tonight.  Seas: 5 to 8 feet over the ocean in the Northwest Bahamas...& 2 to 4 feet in Central & Southeast Bahamas today but building 5 to 8 feet tonight in the Central Bahamas...& increasing 4 to 6 feet in the Southeast Bahamas tonight.
