In the spirit of Thanksgiving, and in its traditional fashion, BTC gave back to a number of community organizations to enable them to provide assistance to many in need.

These organizations included the South Andros Senior Citizens Home, Great Commission Ministries and the Sister/Sister Breast Cancer Support Group.

BTC CEO, Garry Sinclair said, “BTC is inextricably bound up with the Bahamian people, so giving back is simply a natural part of who we are and what we do.

This year continues to be challenging for so many, so we will continue to give back to our communities precisely when they need us most.

This Thanksgiving, we were happy to provide donations to the South Andros Senior Citizens Home, Great Commission Ministries and the Sister/Sister Breast Cancer Support Group.”

The South Andros Senior Citizens home provides care for elderly persons from across the country. President of the home, Rev. J.W. Pratt said, “Many thanks goes to BTC, an exceptional company who has supported the South Andros Senior Citizens home over the years. We appreciate all that BTC continues to do, your thoughtfulness is a gift that we will always treasure.”

President of the Sister/Sister Breast Cancer Support Group, Andrea Sweeting said, “We extend a gracious thank you to BTC for your donation which will assist us with continuing to provide portacaths for those who are unable to purchase devices to begin their treatment. Because of your generosity, we are able to assist our community.”

Bishop Walter Hanchell Chairman of Great Commission Ministries said, “BTC has done it again! Your continued contributions are timely and allows us to assist many persons who have lost their jobs and are experiencing extreme financial challenges due to the pandemic.

We are grateful to BTC for its partnership in our various feeding programs. We serve over three hundred meals each day which includes delivery to the shut-in and distribution of food packages.”

BTC continues to live the philosophy that kindness isn’t an option or an opinion, it just is.
