The Queen of Soca Alison Hinds has joined with the Zonta Club of New Providence’s (ZCNP) campaign to ‘Say No’ to violence against women and girls with 16-Days of Activism, culminating in a live virtual performance for the organization’s 11th annual Wine Dinner.

The Barbadian soca star is set to rock the stage – along with Bahamian singer Julien Believe – in the annual fund raiser event on December 5 that augments ZCNP’s scholarship funds for young women.

“No woman should ever have to live in fear of violence,” said Hinds. “I am really pleased to be a part of this upcoming event. The Zonta Club of New Providence is all about empowerment - the empowerment of women and girls and making sure women’s rights are fully recognized as human rights.

“Women’s empowerment is something that has been very, very close to my heart for a number of years. It stands to reason that this is something I definitely wanted to come on board with.”

The evening is slated to be filled with great tasting wine, food, and live entertainment, with part proceeds from our Live Auction and Raffle prizes dedicated to the ZCNP’s Betty Kelly Kenning Endowment Fund at the University of The Bahamas.
