His Excellency the Most Hon. Sir Cornelius A. Smith, Governor General, accompanied by his wife, Lady Clara, made a first Official Visit to his hometown, Long Island, Thursday, November 26, 2020.

He gave the keynote address at N.G.M. Major High School Speech Day Awards Ceremony in Buckleys. 

The Governor General presented electronic tablets to Ministry of Education District Superintendent Melinda Pratt. Also at the school presentation was MP for Long Island Adrian Gibson.
