A weak Cold Front will enter the Bahamas and gradually dissipate as it pushes south through the islands. Strong High Pressure will build across the area generating strong winds along with cooler temperatures. This will make for hazardous boating and beaching across the islands through the period. High pressure will eventually weaken by Thursday allowing winds to relax. These conditions will persist into the weekend with another frontal system expected to move into the Bahamas early next week.

TUESDAY 24th– Variably cloudy and windy with quick passing showers through tonight. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect. Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 25 knots. Seas: 4 to 6 feet nearshore and up to 8 feet offshore in Northeasterly to Easterly swells for all areas.

WEDNESDAY 25th – Partly Cloudy and breezy with a few isolated showers possible…Mainly fair at night with a stray shower or two possible. A Small Caution Advisory is in effect. Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 25 knots. Seas: 4 to 6 feet nearshore and up to 8 feet offshore in Northeasterly to Easterly swells for all areas.

THURSDAY 26th – Variable Cloudiness and breezy with the chance of a few isolated showers…Mainly fair at night with a stray shower or two possible. Small Craft Operators should exercise caution. Winds: Northeast to East at 15 to 20 knots. Seas: 4 to 7 feet over the ocean.

FRIDAY 27th – Partly sunny and warm with isolated showers possible during the day…Mainly fair at night with a few passing showers possible. Winds: Easterly at 10 to 15 knots. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.

SATURDAY 28th – A mix of sun and clouds and warm with isolated showers possible during the day…Mainly fair at night with a stray shower or two possible. Winds: Easterly at 10 to 15 knots…falling light and variable at times in the NW Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean.

SUNDAY 29th – Partly sunny and warm with a few showers during the day…Mainly fair with an isolated shower or two possible at night. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Cntrl Bahamas and Easterly at 15 knots in the SE Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in the NW and Cntrl Bahamas and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas.
