NEWS ITEM ON TROPICAL STORM THETA ISSUED BY THE BAHAMAS DEPARTMENT OF METEOROLOGY FORECAST OFFICE SECTION AT 6AM, WEDNESDAY 11TH NOVEMBER 2020.

..THETA MAINTAINING ITS INTENSITY AS IT MOVES OVER THE OPEN EASTERN ATLANTIC…

AT 4 AM EST, THE CENTER OF TROPICAL STORM THETAWAS LOCATED NEAR LATITUDE 29.4° NORTH AND LONGITUDE 35.5° WEST, OR ABOUT 770 MILES SOUTHWEST OF THE AZORES.

THETA IS MOVING TOWARD THE EAST-NORTHEAST NEAR 12 MPH, AND THIS MOTION IS EXPECTED TO CONTINUE FOR THE NEXT SEVERAL DAYS.

MAXIMUM SUSTAINED WINDS ARE NEAR 70 MPH WITH HIGHER GUSTS. LITTLE CHANGE IN STRENGTH IS FORECAST DURING THE NEXT 72 HOURS.
