Caribbean Sea and the Gulf of Mexico: The National Hurricane Center is issuing advisories on Tropical Storm Epsilon, located over the central Atlantic several hundred miles southeast of Bermuda.

A trough of low pressure extends from the northwestern Caribbean Sea near the northeastern portion of the Yucatan peninsula southeastward into the southwestern Caribbean Sea. This system is producing disorganized showers and thunderstorms well to the east of the trough axis.

Upper-level winds are expected to remain unfavorable for significant development while the system drifts westward over the next couple of days.

Regardless of development, the disturbance could bring locally heavy rainfall to portions of central and western Cuba, Jamaica, the Cayman Islands, and the Yucatan peninsula through midweek. * Formation chance through 48 hours...low...10 percent.
