With the National Heroes Day fast approaching, CUBIX is launching its “Who’s YOUR Hero” promotion as a tribute to personal heroes and Bahamian entrepreneurs.

“We wanted to do something different this year,” said Tanielle Arthur, Vice President of CUBIX, a smallbusiness solutions company that began operations in 2018. “National Heroes Day is a relatively new holiday and we really want to celebrate and highlight its importance. With all that is going on with COVID-19, we thought this is a perfect time celebrate on two fronts – let’s honour those who are our personal heroes while also celebrating the heroes of the economy - Bahamian entrepreneurs and manufacturers.”

Small and Medium Enterprises (SMEs) play a major role in most economies and are important contributors to job creation. With the Bahamian unemployment rate currently pegged at 40% due to COVID-19, CUBIX’s management team feels there is great need to highlight and support local manufacturers.

One Company, Limitless Solutions

“As we grapple with economic recovery, we feel that we need to encourage people to consciously support Bahamian entrepreneurs and manufacturers, “ said Arthur. “We have so many companies out there making excellent products – organic candles, native teas, spa & hair products, baked goods, swimwear. We need to support them so that they can grow. As they grow, they can increase their production capacity and hire more people. With more local manufacturing, we’ll become a more independent nation.”

For the “Who’s Your Hero” promotion, CUBIX has partnered with local manufacturers who have created Hero Kits, unique gift ideas that are available for purchase on cubixbah.com/marketplace and will be delivered directly to Heroes until National Heroes Day.

Participating companies include Aloe 360, Bahama Glow Cosmetics, BahLeaf Premium Teas, G|D Candle Co., Glow Show, HydroGraphics, Last Island Gal, Profile Swim, Tamdelore Cakes and The Pastry Candle Pub.

“We really want people to think of those who have been their personal heroes during COVID-19 and use National Heroes Day as an opportunity to say, “Hey, you’re my hero” said Gia Knowles, CUBIX’s president.

“It’s a time to show appreciation and love. It could be for a doctor, nurse or EMT who has been on the COVID front lines, your friend who has been there when lockdown was particularly rough on you, your parent or spouse who has been working hard to keep things going during this difficult time. We have heroes all around us.”

CUBIX offers print, design, copy and binding services to small businesses, law firms, teachers, hotels and restaurants. They also offer freight forwarding, commercial shipping, custom brokerage and trucking services.
