THE STEADY and organized pace at which the electoral register is being prepared, with the amendments to the Parliamentary Elections Act already before parliament to make it possible for more Bahamians to vote, is certainly impressive -- especially when one recalls the shambolic chaos of the 2007 election. The new voters register will close on July 14 for next year's election, which must be called sometime before May, 2012.
