Weak ridge will maintain a light to moderate flow across the islands. Large northeast to easterly swells expected to impact the Tropical North Atlantic waters approaching the end of this week through early next week.

WEDNESDAY 16th – Mostly sunny, hot and humid with isolated showers and a few thunderstorms… turning fair and warm at night. Winds: East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots, falling light and variable at times. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean in light Northeasterly swells.

THURSDAY 17th – Partly sunny, hot and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms…turning fair and warm tonight with a few showers. Winds: Southeast to South at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas…and East to Southeast at 10 to 15 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean but up to 6 feet offshore in Northeast to Easterly swells.

FRIDAY 18th –Partly sunny, hot and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms. Partly cloudy and warm at night with isolated showers and a few thunderstorms. Winds: Southeast to South at 10 knots or less in the Northwest Bahamas…and Easterly at 10 to 15 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 3 feet or less in the Northwest Bahamas…and 2 to 4 feet in the Central & Southeast Bahamas but up to 8 feet offshore in Easterly swells.

SATURDAY 19th– Mostly sunny, hot and humid with isolated showers and few thunderstorms. Fair and warm at night with a few showers and possible thunderstorms. Winds: Southeast to South at 10 knots or less in the Northwest Bahamas and Easterly at 10 knots or less in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 3 feet or less but up to 8 feet offshore in Easterly swells.

SUNDAY 20th –Mostly sunny, hot and humid with a few showers and thunderstorms. Fair and warm at night with a few stray showers. Winds: Variable, less than 10 knots for all area. Seas: Less than 3 feet but up to 9 feet offshore in Easterly swells.

MONDAY 21st – Partly cloudy, very warm and humid with isolated showers and thunderstorms mainly in the Extreme Northwest Bahamas. Mostly sunny, hot and humid elsewhere with a few stray showers. Fair and warm at night with a stray shower or two in the Extreme Northwest Bahamas. Winds: South to Southwest at 10 to 15 knots in the Northwest Bahamas and Variable, less than 10 knots in the Central & Southeast Bahamas. Seas: 2 to 4 feet over the ocean but up to 10 feet offshore in North to Northeasterly swells the Extreme Northwest Bahamas…and 3 feet or less in the Central & Southeast Bahamas but up to 7 feet offshore in the Northeasterly swells especially along the Atlantic exposed shorelines.
