The Cabinet Office announces for general information that the Ministry of Agriculture and Marine Resource’s headquarters will be closed for deep cleaning and sanitization due to exposure to COVD-19. A staff member has tested positive for the virus.

The closure is in effect from 11:00 a.m. Thursday, 10th September 2020 until Wednesday, 16th September 2020. The office will resume operation at 9:00 a.m. on Thursday, 17th September, 2020.

Please note that during this period, all remaining outlets will remain open as usual (i.e. the Department of Agriculture, the Department of Marine Resources, Bahamas Agricultural and Industrial Corporation, BAHFSA, BAMSI and GRAC).

The Ministry of Health’s Surveillance Unit has initiated contact tracing to determine the level of exposure to all employees, and all other protocols are being followed.
