The Bahamas Government announces today that it will support the United States candidate, Mr Mauricio Claver-Carone, to fill the vacancy of the presidency of the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB) for the term of 2020-2025 in the upcoming elections on 12-13 September 2020.

Mr. Claver-Caronehas is committed to working on the region’s recovery from the coronavirus pandemic to attract more private investment.
