The Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) has continued their ongoing COVID-19 relief efforts with a donation of Dasani water, which will be distributed to Bimini residents in need of assistance. Eight-hundred cases of 1ltr Dasani water was transported to the island by the Royal Bahamas Defence Force. To date, CBC has donated over 4000 cases of beverages throughout the islands hardest hit by the pandemic, inclusive of New Providence and Grand Bahama.

“We recognize that the coronavirus has impacted the lives of all Bahamians, around the entire country” noted Nikia Wells, CBC Communications Marketing Manager. “It is important that we rally together, not just as business operators, but as individuals, to support those who may be in need right now. We have been working with local charity groups, like Hands for Hunger, The Salvation Army, The Bahamas Red Cross, Great Commission, Lend-A-Hand, and members of the local Bahamian manufacturing and production community to ensure those in need have vital resources, beverages, and food.”

Cleola Pinder of the Bimini Administrator’s Office in Alice Town noted that donations from companies, like CBC, will be able to provide some level of relief during these challenging times. She added, “Having adequate food and water during Bimini's 14 days of lockdown, will ease the anxiety and burden of many of the residents on North and South Bimini. To ensure these basic needs are met, we require the assistance of our corporate citizens. We are grateful to Caribbean Bottling for providing 800 cases of water for the residents of Bimini. Their kind gesture will enable us to provide each home with a case of water. We would like to express our sincere gratitude for Caribbean Bottling Company's generosity, during these challenging times".

In addition to the company’s support of COVID-19 relief activities, CBC has also been focused on continuing their efforts in the northern Bahamas, to assist those still grappling with the impact of Hurricane Dorian.

Wells added, “Dorian was just a few short months ago, and there are still so many men, women and children who are trying to recover from its devastating impact. We recently sent over a number of generators and relief supplies to Abaco, to assist with their ongoing rebuilding efforts. We will also continue to support groups and individuals who are working tirelessly to restore these communities.”

CBC has also vowed to continue to support relief initiatives in the coming weeks and months.
