Seven Day Forecast for the Bahamas from 2nd to 8th April, 2020

General Situation: A slow moving cold front over the Southeast Bahamas will continue southeastward across the area today and tomorrow before exiting the Bahamas Friday night. An area of deep low pressure northeast of the Bahamas will generate swells along the north and east coasts of the island chain through the end of the forecast period. Weak high pressure over Bahamas with produce mainly weather across all areas of the archipelago Saturday through Wednesday.

Thursday 2nd – For the Northwest and Central Bahamas: Partly to mostly sunny and mild during the daytime with a few showers over the southern parts of the Central Bahamas. Fair and cool at night. For the Southeast Bahamas: Increasing clouds with scattered showers as the front approaches...clearing and becoming partly cloudy after the front passes. Maximum temperature 80°F and Minimum temperature 64°F. Small Craft Advisory in effect for the NW and Central Bahamas due to swells. Winds N to NE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and seas 5 to 8 feet in moderate to large northerly swells. Small Craft Caution in effect for the SE Bahamas due to swells. Winds N to NW at 10 to 15 knots over the SE Bahamas... shifting N to NE at 10 to 15 knots by tonight. Seas 4 to 7 feet in moderate northerly swells.

Friday 3rd – For the NW and Central Bahamas: Mostly sunny and mild during the day. Fair and cool during the nighttime. For the SE Bahamas: variable cloudiness with a few showers in the vicinity of the front. Maximum temperature 81°F and Minimum temperature 65°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds N to NE at 10 to 15 knots and seas 4 to 7 feet in moderate north to northeast swells. and Minimum temperature 66°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Saturday 4th – Mostly sunny and warm during the daytime. Fair and mild at night. Maximum temperature 82° and Minimum temperature 83°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds N to NE at 10 knots falling light and variable at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet in moderate N to NE swells.

Sunday 5th – Mostly sunny and warm with a chance of passing showers during the daytime. Fair at night with a shower possible. Maximum temperature 83°F and Minimum temperature 66°F.W Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds N to NE at 10 knots falling light and variable at times. Seas 4 to 6 feet in moderate N to NE swells.

Monday 6th – Mostly sunny and warm with a chance of passing showers during the daytime. Fair at night with a shower possible. Maximum temperature 83°F and Minimum temperature 66°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds NE to E at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and N to NE at 10 to 15 knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet in moderate N to NE swells.

Tuesday 7th - Partly sunny and warm during the day with a chance of passing showers, Mainly fair night with a spotty shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 84°F and Minimum temperature 70°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and NE to E at 10 to 15 Knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet in moderate N to NE swells.

Wednesday 8th – Partly sunny and warm during the day with a chance of passing showers. Mainly fair at night with a spotty shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 84°F and Minimum temperature 70°F. Small Craft caution in effect due to swells. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 10 Knots falling light and variable at times over the SE Bahamas. Seas 4 to 6 feet in moderate N to NE swells.
