Attention U.S. Citizens: If you are presently on any of the Family Islands, including Grand Bahama, Eleuthera, Exuma, Abaco, Bimini, San Salvador, Cat Island, Andros, etc., and you would like to return to the United States, we encourage to you make arrangements *now*.

At this time, we have been informed that Silver Airways will provide the following commercial flights from the respective destinations into Fort Lauderdale TODAY:

✅North Eleuthera, departing at 1:10 p.m.

✅Governor's Harbour at 2:10 p.m.

✅Marsh Harbour departing at 3:05 p.m.

If we receive information regarding other Family Islands with flights to the U.S., we will update this post accordingly.

We have been informed by the Bahamas Civil Aviation Authority that domestic commercial flights from the Family Islands to Nassau are not authorized under the current emergency orders. Any international commercial flights currently scheduled to provide direct flights to the U.S. or Canada must arrive in the Bahamas empty. As we have seen, passenger volume has led many flights to be canceled with little or no notice. Furthermore, Bahamian officials have publicly discussed the possibility of extending this emergency order well into April. As a result, it could be several weeks until reliable commercial flights to these islands return.

ALSO: Private charter airlines are readily available in the Bahamas and several operators have confirmed their ability to provide flights into the United States direct from the Family Islands. Please find contact details below for operators you may consider contacting. We encourage you to reach out to them directly with questions regarding availability and cost.
