Seven Day Forecast for the Bahamas from 23th to 29th March, 2020

General Situation: High pressure will remain in control of the weather pattern for the next few days producing generally fair conditions. A weak frontal trough will move into the Northwest Bahamas Thursday morning and quickly dissipate. The trough, however; will not produce much in the form of precipitation. So the expectation is for only a few spotty showers with no significant rainfall through the forecast period. Winds will veer more toward the south and southwest, ahead of the trough, Wednesday through Thursday resulting in warming temperatures.

Monday 23 rd – Mostly and warm today with a chance of passing showers. Fair and mild tonight with isolated showers possible. Maximum temperature 84°F and Minimum temperature 70°F. Small Craft caution in effect for the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 15 to 20 knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Tuesday24 th – Mostly sunny and warm during the day with a chance of passing showers. Fair and mild during the nighttime with isolated showers possible. Maximum temperature 85°F and Minimum temperature 71°F. Small Craft caution in effect for the SE Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 to 20 knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Wednesday 25 th – Partly sunny and warm with a chance of passing showers during the daytime. Fair at night with a shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 86°F and Minimum temperature 72°F. Winds SE to S at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E to SE at 15 knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 3 to 5 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Thursday 26 th – Partly sunny and warm with a chance of passing showers during the daytime. Fair at night with a shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 88°F and Minimum temperature 71°F.Winds over the NW and Central Bahamas SW to W at 10 knots ahead of the trough and N to NE at 10 knots behind the trough. E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 3 feet or less in the NW and Central Bahamas and 2 to 4 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Friday 27 th – Mostly sunny and warm during the day, mainly fair at night. Maximum temperature 84°F and Minimum temperature 71°F. Winds E’ly at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and NE to E at 10 to 15 Knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet.

Saturday 28 th – Partly sunny and warm during the day with a chance of passing showers. Mainly fair at night with a spotty shower or two possible. Maximum temperature 86°F and Minimum temperature 72°F. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas and E’ly at 10 to 15 Knots over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet.
