Tyrhonda Glinton, along with four Bahamian girls in science, technology, engineering and mathematics – Shabrea Davis, Paige Rahming, Olga Roussos and Tyler Knowles – recently participated in the 5th International Day of Women and Girls in Science Assembly panel discussion at the United Nations (UN), New York. The girls selected to make the UN trip were honorees during the first STEM GEM Honoree Awards for high school girls who break stereotypes in the STEM (science, technology, engineering and math) fields.
