General Situation: A ridge of high pressure across the Bahamas will continue to dominate the weather over the area over today producing generally fair conditions across the island chain. A cold front accompanied by a few scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms will move into the Northwest Bahamas Friday morning. The front is expected to continue southeastward across the Central Bahamas during the afternoon hours on Friday and into the Southeast Bahamas during the afternoon hours on Saturday. The front is expected to exit the Bahamas during the morning hours on Sunday. Conditions will become windy behind the front. Another cold front is expected to move into the Northwest Bahamas during night-time on Wednesday.

Thursday 20th – Partly sunny and warm with a chance of passing showers during the daytime. Partly cloudy tonight with a chance of showers. Maximum temperature 88°F and minimum temperature 73°F. Small craft caution in effect for the Southeast Bahamas. Winds E to SE at 10 to 15 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas today, becoming SE to S at 10 to 15 knots tonight. E’ly at 15 to 20 knots over the SE. Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas and 4 to 6 feet in the SE Bahamas.

Friday 21st – Partly cloudy to cloudy with scattered showers and a chance of thunderstorms. Maximum temperature 82°F and minimum temperature 70°F. Small craft advisory comes into effect behind the front Winds S to SW at 10 to 15 knots in the NW and Central Bahamas shifting N to NE at 15 to 25 knots after the front passes. SE to S at 10 knots falling light and variable at times over the SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet building 5 to 8 feet after the frontal passage in the NW and Central Bahamas. 3 feet or less in the SE Bahamas.

Saturday 22nd – Windy with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and widely scattered showers over the NW and Central Bahamas. Cloudy with scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms over the SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 80°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft advisory in effect Winds NE at 20 to 25 knots over the NW and Central Bahamas. SW to W at 10 knots falling light and variable at times then shifting NE at 20 to 25 knots after the front passes in the SE Bahamas. Seas 7 to 10 feet in the NW and Central Bahamas. 3 feet or less in the SE Bahamas, but building 7 to 10 feet behind the front.

Sunday 23rd –. Occasionally cloudy and windy with a chance of passing showers. Maximum temperature 82°F and minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft should craft advisory in effect Winds NE to E 15 to 25 knots. Seas 6 to 9 feet.

Monday 24th– Partly sunny and breezy with a chance of showers during the daytime...partly cloudy and breezy at night with a chance of isolated showers. Maximum temperature 82°F and a minimum temperature 68°F. Small craft should exercise caution Winds E to SE at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 7 feet.

Tuesday 25th – Partly sunny and breezy with a chance of passing showers during the day...partly cloudy at night with isolated showers possible. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 72°F. Small craft caution in effect Winds SE to S at 15 to 20 knots. Seas 4 to 6 feet.

Wednesday 26th – The weather over the NW Bahamas is expected to be partly sunny and warm with a chance of showers during the day time. Increasing clouds with a few scattered showers and possible isolated thunderstorms at night. Partly cloudy skies with a shower possible over the Central and SE Bahamas. Maximum temperature 86°F and minimum temperature 73°F. Small craft caution will come into effect for the NW Bahamas after the front passes. Winds S to SW at 10 to 15 knots ahead of the front over the NW Bahamas and N to NW at 20 to 25 knots behind the front. SE to S 10 to 15 knots over the Central and SE Bahamas. Seas 2 to 4 feet in the NW Bahamas building 7 to 10 feet behind the front. 2 to 4 feet in the Central and SE Bahamas.
