It’s carnival season in the Bahamas and the Caribbean Bottling Company (CBC) and the Bahamas Masqueraders Carnival Group will once again team up to keep thousands of revelers hydrated when they take to the streets for Road Fever 2020. CBC is the proud beverage provider for the Bahamas Masqueraders and will serve up ice-cold Sprite and Dasani water during the 2020 carnival season.

“This year, Sprite will be bringing something special to the Royal Dynasty Bahamas Masqueraders section” noted Nikia Wells, CBC Communications Marketing Manager. “We have a few surprises lined up for throughout the 2020 Bahamas Carnival season and on the day of Road Fever, we will be bringing something extra to the parade route.”

Wells went on to add, “This is our sixth year supporting the Bahamas Masqueraders, and we have supported their talent and hard work since the beginning. They are one of the largest Road Fever groups, and their energy on the road is always positive and infectious. We are extremely excited to keep all of the revelers hydrated from start to finish.”

The Road Fever parade, which will take place on May 2, will be preceded by a series of parties and events. During the Bahamas Masqueraders costume launch, which took place in February, CBC treated attendees to two new specialty cocktails. The Sprite Berry Mule, which included Sprite, Barritt’s Ginger Beer, vodka, fresh fruit plus herbs, and the Sprite Berry Refresher Mocktail, which featured Dasani Sparkling Berry, Sprite and fresh berries and mint, were created for the event. CBC will also feature a number of other signature drinks and giveaways at the various celebrations hosted by the Bahamas Masqueraders throughout the upcoming months.

In addition to a cash and beverage sponsorship, CBC will also provide Masqueraders with “carnival survival” items in their Road Fever bags. The group’s organizers noted that they are happy to have CBC back on board as a sponsor and excited to showcase the creative work of their team on this year’s parade route.

Under the theme “Legacy” the Masqueraders group will include four sections – Golden Empire, Nubian Kingdom, Maya Maya, and the Royal Dynasty.
