A total of three teams from the Bahamas Mantas Water Polo Club took part in an international tournament this past weekend, experiencing mixed results at the Southern Florida International Water Polo Tournament in Coral Springs, Florida. The under-14 squad finished with a 2-2 win-loss record. They were first in their bracket during regular play and then lost to Capital, 14-8, in a placement match. In their final match, they defeated Marlin TRI, 12-9. In the team’s first two matches, they dropped a close one against Navy, 12-11, and then defeated the Riptides, 22-7, in their second match. The under-16 squad won just one out of five matches. They finished third in their bracket during regular play and then lost to the Riptides and Encantada. They defeated San Jose Cariba in their final match.
