A cold front will move into the Northwest Bahamas early Friday morning and continue rapidly southeastward across the Central Bahamas. The front will be accompanied by a few scattered showers and isolated thunderstorms as it moves across the island chain. Winds will become fresh to strong after the front passes.

Beachgoers and mariners should be vigilant for rough surf and the moderate to high risk of dangerous rip currents mainly along the north and east coast beaches during the stated advisories. Boaters and beachgoers should also be alert for possible waterspout activity. Mariners should exercise caution for gusty winds and higher seas during heavy showers or possible thunderstorms. Moderate to large ocean swells will continue to affect the seas on north through east coast beaches, with occasional sea spray and road incursion from sand and battering waves likely along coastal roads. Residents and motorists in Grand Bahama and Eleuthera should avoid using the Fishing Hole Road and the Glass Window Bridge respectively as wind driven waves and swells may create hazardous conditions. Some flooding is likely to occur across the parts of the Bahamas as ponding water accumulates from steady rainfall and occasionally heavy downpours.
