Ministry of Youth, Sports and Culture Permanent Secretary David Cates; Under Secretary Montez WIlliams; Executive Director of Culture Rowena Poitier-Sutherland; and National Coordinator of Junior Junkanoo Henry Higgins joined Junior Junkanoo organizers and stakeholders at the Order of Entry or "Number Picking" ceremony, at Esso On-the-Run Oakes Field, on January 23, 2020. Also present and taking part in the event were Sol Petroleum Marketing Manager Valentino Hanna, Esso On-The-Run Oakes dealer Paul Hepburn, and other Sol Petroleum representatives; National Junkanoo Committee Co-Chair Kishlane Smith; other government officials; Ministry staff members and special guests. Mr. Hanna also presented a cheque from the Esso "Pennies on the Pump" programme, The company is a sponsor for the entire 32 years of the Junior Junkanoo parade. The parade is slated for January 30, 2020, at 5:30 p.m. on Bay Street, Downtown Nassau.
