Registered bidders from around the world will get a sneak peek of life in The Bahamas for three days at the end of this month when a posh hilltop residence in Exuma goes up for auction on the Concierge Auctions website.

The 3,600 square foot, fully-furnished, 5-bedroom, 4-bath home with two-car garage and pool and patio overlooking picturesque Elizabeth Harbour in Georgetown was once offered for nearly $2 million. It will be auctioned without reserve.

“We labelled this property the sparkling year-round tropical oasis,” said Danny Prell, Director of Business Development for Concierge Auctions. “Located on Schooner Road, the White House features a great room with a wall of French doors that open to a breathtaking view of the greenery and the turquoise waters that make Exuma the yachting capital of The Bahamas. This very private home is the perfect serene getaway for anyone wanting to escape big city bustle and stress where you can kick back and just breathe. It is also an excellent investment property with solid short-term rental return. On top of all that, it is in Exuma. What more could you ask for?”

According to Prell, The Bahamas remains one of the 10 hottest vacation destinations in the world and a top choice for second home owners.

“There will be a lot of eyes on Exuma when this auction goes live on the 28th of January,” he predicted. “Every year, we see more interest in the Bahamian Family Islands, particularly among Europeans, Canadians and Americans though we have experienced active bidding from certain South American countries. The more adventurous buyers search for private islands, wanting to lead a dream life of Robinson Crusoe but with all the amenities.”

This is not the first time Concierge Auctions has been invited to offer a property in The Bahamas to its extensive global database of high net worth individuals. It has successfully auctioned more than 10 properties in Grand Bahama, Paradise Island and Exuma, including Innocence Island in Exuma which sold for $18.75 million. Compliant with BREA requirements, Concierge always works with local brokers, in this case with John Christie of HG Christie and Christie’s International Real Estate as the listing agent.

“White House on Schooner Road in Exuma is a unique property with its superior quality construction and attention to detail throughout the residence, its breathtaking views and elevation, though only a minute from the beach” said Christie. “It has also demonstrated an excellent return on investment through short term rentals to a luxury leisure market.”

With an carefully cultivated database of high net worth individuals and their advisors, Concierge Auctions is considered the world’s largest technology-based luxury real estate marketplace. Formed in 2008 by two luxury real estate agents frustrated by industry limitations in how luxury homes were marketed, bought and sold, Laura Brady and Chad Roffers have grown the firm into an international phenomenon. In just over a decade, Concierge Auctions has generated billions of dollars in sales, broken world records for the highest priced residential sales ever achieved at auction and is active in 40 U.S. and territories as well as 28 countries. The company recently generated more than $190 million in live auction events in Asia. Just last month, the firm held two live auction events in New York City, featuring luxury properties spanning eight countries and seven U.S. states. Nearly 80 global bidders participated in the auction, resulting in over $43 million in sales volume. The sale in New York City comes on the heels of the firm's largest sale ever in Hong Kong, which shattered sales estimates and broke record sale prices in Vero Beach, Florida; Lake Las Vegas, Nevada; and Calgary, Canada.
