It is coming to the end of another exciting year for the Bahamas Professional Golf Tour Signature Golf Classics and we are proud to host the Tour Championship sponsored by LunnGold Organization on Sunday, December 29, at the Royal Blue Golf Course, Baha Mar Resort. Tournament Tee-off time is set for 1 p.m. sharp with check in at 11:00 a.m.

This is the culmination of exciting play from professional and amateur golfers who played wonderful golf from the first round – the Bahamas Waste Classic back in May. Professional and amateur golfers from Nassau, Abaco, Freeport and Houston, Texas will make this an exciting year end tournament.

The LunnGold Organization is a gold and crypto currency organization helping to build wealth for everyone. As a matter of fact, LunnGold will be providing gold and/or crypto currencies for winners in each division. There is also a cash purse of $3,500.00 for the professional golfers who are eager to battle for it.

LunnGold and Bahamas Waste are not the only sponsors for the BPGT Signature Golf Classics. Also putting their overwhelming support behind the Classics are Auto H and L, Breezes Resort, Bentonite Beauty Clay, Bahama Barrels Wines, Graycliff Cigars, Royal Blue Golf Club, Atlantis Ocean Club, the Ministry of Tourism of The Bahamas, R. & E Imports & Sales, Hillshire Brand Products, RMS Insurance Agents and Brokers, Baha Mar Casino and SunTee Bahamas.

It looks like a one-man race in the purse as Grand Bahamian Greg Maycock is perched at the top with $4,650.00 Lemon Gorospe is in second place with $2,400.00 In third place is Riccardo Davis, BPGT tournament founder & director, with $2,000.00.

In the last round, Maycock played the Royal Blue Golf Course very well as he swung his way to a score of five-under 67 to win the R.E. Imports Classic last month. He shot a hole-in-one in this round as well.

“My feelings after the hole-in-one was stay calm – still needed four holes to finish the round and I did well, 67 and won. I am hoping to play well again next month,” Maycock said. That was his second straight victory and third in total on the tour and he will be looking to put the icing on the cake with a win in this Classic.

Matthew Cox and Samuel Kemp finished tied for second behind Maycock as both shot seven-over par 79. Cox got the second-place finish on a countback. Kemp the president of the Bahamas Professional Golfers Association (BPGA), finished third.

The amateur division saw Lynford Miller, shooting two-over par 74 to get the top spot in that division.

Finishing eight strokes behind Miller was Timothy Rider. He had a birdie on hole number five as he ended his round 10-over par 82. In third place was Mark Carter. He was one stroke behind Rider, finishing 11-over par 83. Carter had one birdie on the first hole. From there, things went downhill for him.

The Tour Championship will be the end of the second year of the BPGT Signature Golf Classic. Plans are already in place to kick off the third year with a two-day event, with a $5,000.00 purse for the professionals in May 2020.
