Police on Grand Bahama are investigating the circumstances involving the death of a 51-year-old Haitian woman who was found unresponsive while in custody at the Central Police Station on Friday. Police said that the woman was arraigned and convicted before the Magistrate’s Court for violating the Immigration Act and was awaiting deportation. EMS Personnel transported the woman to the Rand Memorial Hospital where she was pronounced dead, police said.
